Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 3–4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup mashed banana (about 2 ripe bananas)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, or more to taste
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, brown sugar, mashed bananas, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and milk. Stir thoroughly until everything is evenly mixed.
  2. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  3. Stir once more before serving and finish with your favorite toppings.
 
Notes
  • Any variety of brown sugar works well here—light, dark, or standard. Dark brown sugar was used when developing this recipe.
