Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1½ pounds sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces; you can also use strip loin, tenderloin, rib-eye, or strip steak)
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic (minced)
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions:
Cook the Steak:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
Ensure the oil is hot, then add the steak pieces.
Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
Let the steak cook for about 2 minutes without stirring, allowing a good sear to form.
Stir the steak and cook for another 2 minutes, until the pieces are golden brown. If the skillet is small, you may need to cook in batches.
Once the steak is cooked, transfer it to a plate.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, add butter and reduce the heat to medium.
Once the butter is melted, add the garlic and red pepper flakes.
Cook for about 30 seconds, stirring occasionally, until the garlic becomes fragrant and starts to brown.
Combine and Serve:
Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Tips:
Pat the steak dry with paper towels before cutting into bite-sized pieces for better browning and a delicious crust.
Preheat the pan well before adding the steak for an even sear.
Cook the steak in batches if necessary, to avoid overcrowding the pan and causing the meat to steam.
Let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking to keep the juices in and enhance its tenderness.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave to keep them juicy.
