Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or lightly coat it with cooking spray.
  3. Add the ground meat, egg, dried herbs, seasonings, diced onion, and breadcrumbs to a large mixing bowl. Mix gently using your hands or a silicone spatula until evenly combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into 2-inch meatballs and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each one.
  5. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until the meatballs are browned on the outside and fully cooked through.
  6. Serve as-is or pair with your favorite sauce and pasta.

Notes
  • Lightly dampening your hands can help prevent the mixture from sticking while shaping the meatballs.
  • If using a dark-colored baking sheet, turn the meatballs halfway through baking to avoid over-browning on the bottoms.
  • For softer bottoms, line the baking sheet with parchment paper or use a glass baking dish instead.
