Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oi
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat the oven to 350ºF and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Prepare the Batter:
    • In a large bowl, combine both sugars, eggs, and vegetable oil.
    • Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined.
    • Mix in the flour and salt until smooth, then add the vanilla extract.
    • Fold in the chopped pecans.
  3. Bake the Pecan Bread:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and place it in the oven.
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  4. Cool and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and allow the pecan bread to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
