Ingredients
Juicy Turkey Burger Recipe (makes 6 large or 8 smaller turkey burgers) 6 sesame seed or onion hamburger rollsGarlic Aioli:(or try our Roasted Garlic Aioli)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Fresh ground black pepper
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Caramelized Onions:(Or use our Slow Cooker Caramelized Onions Recipe for a large batch)
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 large onions, peeled and sliced thin
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
Fresh ground black pepper
Instructions
Place a large skillet over medium-low heat and add the butter and olive oil. Once the butter has fully melted, add the sliced onions and toss them gently so they are evenly coated in the fat.
Sprinkle the onions with kosher salt and black pepper. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. When finished, the onions should be deeply golden and caramelized. Transfer them to a bowl and cover until needed.
While the onions cook, prepare the aioli. Combine all aioli ingredients in a small bowl and stir until smooth. Set aside at room temperature until ready to assemble the burgers.
Combine the ingredients for the turkey burgers and form the mixture into 6 large patties. Lightly coat a large skillet with non-stick cooking spray and cook the patties over medium heat for 5 minutes per side, or until the turkey is fully cooked and no longer pink in the center.
To serve, place each turkey patty on a bun and finish with a generous spoonful of garlic aioli and a portion of the caramelized onions.
